At AEBS, we believe in a world that brings people together. We believe in a world that builds on one anothers talents and expertise; a world in which every single daily action is rooted in strong values such as generosity, acceptance, effort, and excellence.

AEBS nourishes cultural diversity that enriches our curriculum through the Reggio Emilia approach, attending to the individual needs of all of our students. We deliver a strong curriculum in four languages (Spanish, English, Mandarin and French) that creates a linguistic conscience among our students and an appreciation of the diversity of languages.

While it is based on the Spanish framework, our curriculum is carefully designed to build on each language’s strengths and cultures. Our work has been recognized by Newsweek, as one of the best schools in the USA. Also we are an NAEYC accredited program. The school aims to develop confident young learners with a global outlook in a cross-curricular teaching environment.

No, it is not necessary for your child to have any Spanish language skills prior to enrollment.
More than two-thirds of the children enrolled at Austin Eco Bilingual School do not speak Spanish at home. Students have ample time and activities available at school to learn the Spanish language.
Having proficiency in more than one language has been shown to enhance a child’s overall verbal development, heighten creativity, as well as improve cognitive performance in basic skills necessary for elementary international school. AEBS believes in providing diverse, multicultural experiences to cultivate openness and an appreciation for different cultures. We believe this prepares children to successfully maneuver in a multilingual and multicultural world.
To speak more than one language opens your horizons. With each language, you not only learn to communicate in that language but also absorb new ways of thinking. A second or third language also helps you understand different collective personalities, therefore, engendering more open mindedness.
AEBS provides small classes of 10-15 students. The staff-pupil ratio across the whole school is 1-8.
AEBS embraces multicultural diversity and helps its students develop an open mind and a healthy respect for the cultural identity of all the students at the school. Our student body is diverse in a number of ways: ethnic, social, cultural, language and economic. This enriches our school community and provides the opportunity for all to adapt to the diverse needs of our students while guaranteeing an equality of opportunities for all.
Your child will be ahead of or on target with other children his/her age. Austin Eco Bilingual School integrates Common Core standards. The difference is the level of depth a subject or theme is given. We cover themes in depth over the course of six to eight weeks while an average public school may cover the theme in just one lesson.
We accept children as young as 6 weeks and up to 1st grade.
We offer an 11/12-week Summer Camp. You may choose as many weeks as you want, with a minimum of three weeks. Whether your child is unable to speak Spanish or is very fluent in Spanish, he/she will enhance language skills with exciting, entertaining and life-enhancing adventures through Spanish immersion. We also have Spring and Winter Break programs.
We offer Soccer Shots, TOT basketball ball and Groovy Gym Bus. We continue to seek out programming that may be of interest to our students.
Our staff is from all over the world. Our staff and their cultures intend to allow for open minds and appreciation of multiple cultures to be developed within our students.
We believe that parents and teachers need to work together in order to deliver an excellent education and we encourage strong participation in the school’s life from our parent body. We foster an environment in which each new member is welcomed as a valued addition. We are proud to promote a culture of academic excellence nourished in a tightly-knit community. We host many events within our school where parents are always invited.
AEBS aims to form young men and women who are capable of living in fullness and with dignity, assuming personal responsibility, learning to be conscious of the world that surrounds them, and grow to make decisions based on the good of the world and of others, not only for themselves.
Austin Eco Bilingual School encourages parents and children to join us for a tour. To enroll for school, parents will be asked to fill out paperwork and provide a deposit to hold a place for their child.
